1. Snooze

Snooze is a must-visit on every Denver weekend trip for the tastiest breakfast in the city. Snooze began in Denver and has quickly gained in popularity due to its dependably outstanding breakfast menu and beverages. We had our first Snooze experience on a previous weekend in Boulder, CO, and we knew we wanted to go back! We got the pancake trio from Snooze, which is ideal for sharing (which I highly recommend.) We also ordered the Benny Duo and breakfast tacos to try a variety of menu items, and the Bloody Marys are some of the finest I’ve ever had. If you’re on a budget, Snooze is one of the economical eateries in Denver, Colorado.

2. Tupelo Honey Cafe serves brunch

Tupelo Honey Cafe, a southern-inspired restaurant with a seasonally rotating menu, is another fantastic destination for brunch in Denver near Union Station. Brunch is available all day, and there’s a lot to select from. Made-from-scratch biscuits, fried chicken and waffles, and other southern dishes like grits and collard greens are also popular at the restaurant. If you’re like me and can’t decide, the “Shoo Mercy” with sweet potato pancakes is a terrific opportunity to try a variety of Tupelo Honey’s delicious dishes.

Inside, Tupelo Honey features a fantastic bar and restaurant. You may also choose to dine outside, as we did, with views of the trains passing by at Union Station.

3. Tupelo Honey Denver’s All-Day Brunch

Kachina Cantina is a terrific alternative for real Mexican cuisine in a colorful and cheerful environment in Denver. In addition, Kachina is conveniently situated inside the Maven Hotel. It’s noted for its taco selection and delicious margaritas. On the advice of the hotel staff, we ordered the guacamole and fried bread. The taco trio was very popular, and there are plenty great selections to pick from. I ordered the shrimp, fish, and wagyu tacos, which were all cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor.

Be advised that most of the cuisine at Kachina is quite hot. The cucumber jalapeno margarita is delicious, but it’s a touch too spicy for me (and I adore heat!).

4. Denver’s Kachina Cantina Mexican Restaurant

If you’re searching for a fantastic farm-to-table restaurant in Denver, go no farther than Mercantile Dining & Provision near Union Station. Mercantile offers a variety of pasta specialties, all of which are very tasty and well prepared. To begin, we had the bread service and spiced carrots, which were some of the greatest carrots I’ve ever tasted. We split the gnocchi and mussels, as well as a lamb spaghetti dish. Both were delicious, but the gnocchi was my personal favorite. While the amounts are on the modest side, there was still enough for dessert. The wine selection at Mercantile is likewise excellent, featuring a mix of mid-priced and higher-priced choices.

While we chose to dine outside at Mercantile, the main restaurant boasts an upmarket but inviting atmosphere. It’s ideal for a romantic supper or a get-together with friends.

5. The Denver Milk Market

In Denver, there are a few food halls, with the Milk Market in LoDo being one of the most prominent. It has a variety of eateries and is a fantastic place to go for a casual supper or night out. In the mornings, we went to Huckleberry Coffee Roasters for coffee and sampled a few other menu items. Pasta, fried chicken, burgers, and other dishes are popular lunch and supper choices at Milk Market. While you’re waiting for your lunch, you may stroll around a few specialized apparel stores and other businesses at Dairy Block Denver.

6. Prost LoDo Coffee Shop

On our way back after hiking at Red Rocks, we stumbled upon Prost while seeking for a Denver brewery with outside seats. Prost is a German brewery with a fantastic outdoor biergarten in Denver’s Highland district. Prost Denver has a large beer selection, and I sampled the Kolsch. (This isn’t my regular beer, but it reminds me of Cologne, Germany!) The enhanced seltzer was naturally flavored and not too carbonated, according to my pals. We ordered the cheese and meat board as a snack/light meal, along with the pastrami loaded fries. At Prost, both of them provided us a terrific taste of German cuisine.

7. Poka Lola Social Club

The Poka Lola is a small cocktail bar situated within The Maven’s lobby. Poka Lola was the ideal lounge in Denver without being busy, even though we weren’t frequenting pubs or clubs on this trip. Poka Lola Denver’s drinks are one-of-a-kind, and I enjoyed a delicious drink named “The North Remembers” that had an unusual blend of tastes like banana infused rum and chocolate chai tea. After a late trip into Denver, we also grabbed a burger there, which was delicious.

8. Blanchard Family Wines

If you’re looking for wineries in Denver, Colorado, you’ve come to the right place. Blanchard Family Wines is one of Denver’s few remaining downtown wineries. It’s in the Alley of the Dairy Block, adjacent to a number of downtown Denver eateries. The Blanchard winery offers a wide range of wines, from white to red, as well as dessert combinations. We enjoyed some of the seasonal macarons as well as the cake pop and wine combination. The winery also offers plenty of indoor and outdoor seats, as well as heaters.

Weekend Activities in Denver that are Not to Be Missed

There are so many fun things to do in Denver with your girlfriends if you’re planning a Denver ladies vacation. It’s the ideal combination of leisure and adventure, which is what we strive for in a ladies weekend getaway. We found time for hiking, art, and more in Denver, in addition to the numerous fantastic restaurants and places to grab a drink. The highlights of things to do in Denver for a weekend trip are listed below.

Hiking in Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre in Denver

We did some research before to our trip to find the finest hiking in Denver. We wanted a path that was very simple to reach (and walk!) There are several hiking opportunities in Denver, Colorado, but Red Rocks is without a doubt one of the most distinctive.

Most people are familiar with Red Rocks because of its amphitheater, which is spectacular in and of itself. Apart from the amphitheater, there’s a lot to do at Red Rocks. Red Rocks Park is notable for its massive reddish sandstone rock formations, which are found near the foot of the Rocky Mountains. The park is part of the Denver Mountain Parks system and has a few trails that are suitable for simple walks in the Denver area. The Trading Post Loop was completed by us. It’s a 1.4-mile circle that takes you around a number of the rock formations. (There are a few high climbs, but even if you’re not a huge hiker, it’s rather painless!)

You can still stroll up to the Red Rocks Amphitheatre if you aren’t fortunate enough to be there for a performance. This naturally constructed amphitheater is stunning, and the steep slope makes it seem like a trek in and of itself. On a clear day, views of the Denver skyline may be seen from the amphitheater’s stage.

What is the best hotel to stay?

If you just have a weekend in Denver, the ideal place to stay for a weekend trip is downtown. The Maven Hotel in Denver’s LoDo neighborhood is one of the greatest hotels in the city in terms of location and facilities. When you step into the lobby of this one of Denver’s most unusual hotels, you feel like you’re going into a piece of art. From the artwork on the walls to the doors, furnishings, and décor, every element has been meticulously considered. The Maven is directly linked to the Milk Market dining hall and is housed inside the Dairy Block.

The Maven’s rooms are exactly as lovely as the rest of the hotel. The Innovator Suite 2 Queen Room that we stayed in was ideal for a weekend with friends. It has a table, a kitchenette, and a living room in addition to the sleeping section. With a double sink vanity, separate shower, and the largest bathtub I’ve ever seen, the bathroom is enormous (and lovely). It’s ideal for getting ready for a night out with the ladies and for deciding where to stay for a bachelorette party in Denver, Colorado. Read the facts and go ahead with spending your girls weekend in Denver to get the best experience.
